Second trimester — the energy window

Most women feel a real lift around weeks 14–20. Nausea eases. Sleep gets better. This is your window — use it.

  • Plan the things you'll be too tired to plan in trimester 3: hospital tour, antenatal classes, baby budget.
  • Do one small couple thing each week. A walk. A film. An early dinner. The point is to keep being you two, not just parents-in-waiting.
  • Start a baby fund. Even $10 a week. The habit matters more than the size.

This is also when she'll start to feel kicks. When she takes your hand to her belly — be there fully. That's the memory.
