What BabaPilot is

BabaPilot is an educational and organisational companion app for expectant and new fathers. The daily brief, the Ask AI feature, and the library articles are written to give fathers context, vocabulary, and practical things to do — not diagnoses.

What BabaPilot is not

• It is not a medical device.
• It does not diagnose conditions.
• It does not prescribe treatment, medication, or supplements.
• It is not a substitute for in-person care from a midwife, obstetrician, paediatrician, GP, or any other licensed clinician.
• It is not an emergency service. If your partner or baby is in distress, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

AI-generated guidance

BabaPilot uses large language models (Anthropic Claude) to produce some of its content. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out-of-date — even when it sounds confident. Always cross-check anything material against your midwife or doctor. A deterministic safety check runs before every AI response, but no automated system is perfect.

Emergency situations

If you ever face any of these, contact your midwife, clinic, or local emergency line immediately — do not ask the app:

• Heavy vaginal bleeding
• Severe headache, blurred vision, or swelling of the face/hands
• Severe abdominal pain
• No fetal movement after week 24
• Fever over 38°C / 100.4°F
• Seizure or loss of consciousness
• A fall that hit the belly
• Any newborn in respiratory distress or unresponsive
